Compétences acquises
At the end of the course, the student will have a complete knowledge of the communication problems on board trains, which requires specific solutions to be developed, on the basis of the existing standards and regulations (the full set of standards includes at least 12 documents and the regulations includes the Directives and the Technical Specifications for interoperability). This will include terminology, basic architectures, existing reference standards and examples of real products. The student will know about solutions currently available on trains, their evolution and the parameters which can influence decisions on product choice and system architecture. Furthermore the architecture and operational features of the train to ground communication and multimedia applications are covered during the course.
